Marketing Director

We are looking for a very experienced Marketing Director to join our client in their Dubai head quarters. This is a very hands on role and needs someone with energy, commitment and an entrepreneurial approach to business.

You will be a proven marketing professional with a track record of successful customer acquisition work, particularly in the areas of Retail, Fashion or Shopping large format shopping Malls. Extensive experience in managing, leading and inspiring a large diverse and multi functional Marketing team is essential. You will ideally have a background in Retail, have demonstrable and excellent experience of the dynamics of driving customer acquisition projects whilst ensuring costs are kept to a minimum.

Experience of working in the Middle East or any of the GCC Countries is essential

We currently have an amazing opportunity to work for one of the high streets most well respected retailers. This brand appeals to the 20+ Fashion and smartwear customer and consists of Fashion and outerwear product.

You will work very closely with a Designer to develop and source quality driven product. You will be a key member of the team and may manage part of your own area and junior team members. Fashion experience is essential, however a women's multiproduct background will be considered.

Candidates must be currently working at Senior Buyer level, have a very good eye for trends and design and enjoy working in a stable environment. Perhaps you will come from a Design background and have moved into Buying.

Using specialist marketing skills:

To drive and manage all Retail Marketing initiatives on a global basis

Our client is the leading UK Department Store brand with plans to open a number of stores in Dubai and around the middle east over the next 5 / 6 years

ROLE:

Due to the planned expansion of our client`s stores, they are now looking to recruit a Retail Operations Manager to take responsibility for their retail operations.

In this role you will be responsible for the sales and operations of their existing stores, whilst planning for new store openings across the Middle East. Experience of dealing with site location, selection and management would therefore be advantageous.

You will work with other head office functions to coordinate product merchandising and display for all stores, and local marketing and promotional activity. The successful candidate will therefore possess good commercial awareness and be able to coordinate a creative and ambitious retail strategy.

You will drive and deliver sales performance through staff development, careful management of operational costs, and offer a great consumer experience. This is a great opportunity for an experienced manager to join a well-established company that is looking to grow further.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

a) Proven success in managing retail operations across multiple sites, preferably in the Department Store industry.

b) Exceptional team-working and leadership skills are essential, with the ability to communicate at all levels and build strong relationships across the business.

c) Experience of budget preparation and control, and have a good track record in loss prevention and maximising operational efficiency in the retail sector.

d) Successful track of record in Department Store operations. Minimum 10 years experience.

e) Multi-site Operations Management environment preferred.

f) Knowledge of Financial Operations and processes, analytical skill to diagnose root cause of deficiencies.
