Operations Director Central London
Jackson Rose are recruiting an Operations Director for the direct and overall responsibility of running and growing the operations department of a small but dynamic fast expanding travel-based events/experiential agency in Central London. The position reports to the Managing Director and the department has 3-4 permanent directly reporting staff (rising to 20+ prior events).
The successful candidate must have: at least 5 years experience leading operations for travel-based projects and events, a willingness for destination visits and travel (schedule may be heavy so it is a prerequisite that this individual is willing and able to do so), excellent attention to detail, self-motivation, a self-starter attitude, an essential “Can do” approach, a readiness to find solutions, control against tight deadlines, highly successful multi-tasking ability, sound financial acumen (re. budget preparation & management), computer literacy and fluency in, at least, one other European language. In addition, the candidate will be required to contribute to new business initiatives/pitches, that contribute to the growth of the company, as well as develop and maintain a strong international supplier network. The candidate will also be required to attend the World Travel Market, Confex and other trade shows/events deemed appropriate. In 2010 (May/June/July), the candidate will need to relocate to South Africa, for circ. 8 weeks.
Located in Central London, salary commensurate with experience + extensive benefits package.
