Assistant Director of Sales Kensington, London
We are recruiting for an exciting new role as Assistant Sales Director for our client who is one of London’s most luxurious boutique hotels.
Reporting to Sales and Marketing Director
YOUR PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY: Maximise all sales and revenue opportunities for the hotel by implementing new business opportunities and providing effective account management across client base, in order to achieve agreed annual sales targets.
Your Key Duties and Requirements:
Strategic sales activity
Implement the hotel’s rolling Sales & Marketing Plan against annual budget revenue target.
Attend weekly 121 with General Manager to ensure sales effort is communicated effectively and appropriate actions are undertaken
In conjunction with revenue manager, lead a weekly sales & revenue meeting for the hotel, providing a detailed overview of top producing clients for the hotel by segment, to include rooms revenue, meetings revenue and F&B revenue
Personally account manage the hotel’s top revenue producing clients including Corporate, Luxury Leisure and Online partners
Effectively manage all members of the Business Development team to achieve results in key segments for the hotel, in line with hotel’s annual sales plan
Create Account Development Plans for your top Corporate clients and review monthly activity with the DOSM
Manage and maintain client database at the hotel, with a target of adding at least 10 new contacts per month
Achieve minimum of contracting 10 new business accounts per month
Attend monthly London Business Development sales strategy meetings and contribute to the business decisions made to maximise the overall yield of the hotel, ensuring a thorough knowledge of the 3 month rolling forecast and a thorough understanding of the business
Utilise London researcher to identify and lead activity for key feeder markets and become ambassador for emerging markets for the hotel
Plan and attend a minimum of 4 international sales trips per annum on behalf of the hotel
Lead the PR efforts by devising and implementing a PR plan for the Kensington hotel
Ensure that local Corporate research is pro-actively completed, developing new leads and conducting the correct level of research, ensuring the research findings are communicated to the Business Development team
Personally conduct a minimum of twelve proactive sales appointments each week, selecting those which have a high generation of sales revenue for the hotel
Host a minimum of 3 Fam trips per month for your clients base and Group hospitality events as required
Create a minimum of 10 new business leads per month for the hotel
Liaise with GM/ DOSM on offering new tactical offers and incentives for clients, therefore maximising all Company promotions to the benefit of the hotel
Communication & information requirements:
Be fully conversant with Front of House, C&E and Nexus systems, ensuring all information related to appointments, client profiles and activities are up to date on a weekly basis, as per company standards
Utilise London researcher to conduct monthly competitor analysis, including the effective management of hotelligence, identifying competitor business levels, promotions and refurbishment plans, communicating outcomes to the Business Development team to produce appropriate competitor intelligence information as required
